☀ Rooms for rent in San Jose, Costa Rica ☀ : June 2012

We have a spacious 4 bedroom house located in a safe residential neighborhood in Moravia. A suburb just 15min. from downtown San Jose. We offer a nice tranquil environment with alot of personal space for each tenant. Our house is a corner property, which allows alot of natural light.

Transportation is very accesible since the bus stop is just outside our house. Both the bus to downtown San Jose and the University of Costa Rica (San Pedro) go by our place, it takes 15-20min. to get to each location. We are also just 5min. away (by bus) from our local farmer's market where you can buy fresh fruit and veggies every Saturday!.

We are within walking distance to pharmacies, supermarkets, banks, ATMs, restaurants, fast food, parks, etc. Also, there is a nice small park adjacent to the house! :)

Our tropical patio offers the perfect environment to read, have breakfast, or simply relax while you enjoy the birds visiting our native fruit tree.

We offer the following rooms for rent:

ROOM #1 - $300 per month. It is furnished with a queen sized bed, a night table, a reading lamp and a night lamp, a mirror, a very big closet and a big desk. This is our most spacious bedroom, and has nice big windows facing our yard.

ROOM #2 - $275 per month. Furnished with a single sized bed, a night table, a reading lamp, a mirror, a big desk, a dresser, a bookcase, a spacious closet and big windows facing our yard.

ROOM #3 - $275 per month. Furnished with a single sized bed, a night table, a reading lamp, a mirror, a desk and a spacious closet. This room has big windows facing our tropical patio.

ROOM #4 - $275 per month. This room is furnished with a single sized bed, a night table, a reading lamp, a mirror, a dresser, and a closet. It is the smallest room we offer but the most comfortable one due to it's own private bathroom (with a sink, toilet and shower).

APARTMENT- $600 per month. It is furnished and consists of one bedroom with a queen sized bed, a big bathroom, a kitchen and living area, a big balcony, and a nice little office room.

Included in the monthly price of each accommodation is:

wireless internet
electric and water bill
cleaning service
use of the washer and dryer
access to all the common areas: fully equipped kitchen, living room, dinning room, laundry room, nice tropical patio and garden. You can also feel free to use our DVD player, as well as our DVD and book collection.

We ask for a security deposit which will be returned at the end of your stay.

* This is a female-only house. Due to the fact that we want to keep offering a comfortable and safe environment for our tenants, we only take female inquiries *

* We ask for a 1 month minimum stay *

OUR LOCATION

We are located just outside of San Jose, Costa Rica in Central America, with Nicaragua to the North and Panama to the Southeast.

In the residential neighborhood of Los Colegios, Moravia. A suburb just 15-20 minutes outside of downtown San Jose.

Transportation from the house is very accesible since the bus stop is just a few steps away from the house. Both the buses to downtown San Jose and to the University of Costa Rica (UCR) stop right by the house.

We are within walking distance to supermarkets (AM-PM, Jumbo, Auto Mercado, Mas x Menos), pharmacies, restaurants, fast food, banks, etc. Also, there is a nice little park right across the street from the house.

From the house it takes only about:

5 minutes to downtown Guadalupe

15-20 minutes to downtown San Jose

20-25 minutes to San Pedro (University of Costa Rica)

Some of the restaurants you can find are: Inka Grill, RostiPollos, Chili's, Wendy's, Taco Bell, Mc Donald's, Subway, Sushi, Quizno's, Pizza Hut, KFC, La Fonda Azteca, Spoon, POPS, Carl's Junior, Startbucks, typical costarican "sodas" (or small local restaurants), etc.

Some of the stores within walking distance are: Victoria's Secret, Forever 21, Express, Claire's, Quicksilver, Kolbi, Dell, Converse, Arenas, The Face Shop, Universal, Photopholio, New Balance, Movistar, Hallmark, Life Photo, Claro, DC Shoes, Adidas/Nike, Aeropostale, etc.

We are also close to some banks: Banco Nacional, Banco de Costa Rica, Scotiabank, HSBC.

We are very close to downtown Moravia (just a 10 minute walk), where you can find supermarkets, banks, gyms, stores, video clubs, etc. As well as close to Tibás.

This is the most spacious room we offer. It is furnished with a queen sized bed, a night table, a desk and chair, a night lamp and a reading lamp. This room has a very spacious closet, nice wooden floors and big windows facing the park across the street.

The tenant staying in this room would share the bathroom with 2 other tenants (Room #2 and #3).

Monthly rent for this room is $300, which includes:

APARTMENT

MONTHLY RENT: $600

If you prefer to have your own place, we offer a furnished apartment for rent located on the second floor of the main house. It consists of one bedroom, a big bathroom, a kitchen and living area, a big balcony, and a nice little office room.

The bedroom is furnished with a queen sized bed, two night tables, a night lamp, a bookcase, a closet, and a big TV and DVD player. It has big windows that allow alot of natural light. The bedroom has access to the balcony, by a glass slidding door. The bathroom is very spacious and consists of a shower, a toilet, a bidet and a sink. The kitchen is equipped with all basic utensils and has windows facing our indoor patio; the living area is furnished with a bookcase and a big couch. The office room is on the first floor and has a couch and a desk. The apartment has a private entrance, and access to the laundry room (the laundry room is shared with the tenants in the main house).

LIVING AREA

The house offers a very relaxed environment with a lot of personal space for each tenant. There is a spacious living room with a big selection of books you can feel free to enjoy during your stay with us. We also have a nice selection of movies for you to watch (as well as a DVD player), whenever you get tired of all the reading. The kitchen is equipped with a refridgerator, an oven and stove, a toaster, a microwave, and all basic utensils you will need for cooking (pots and pans, glasses and plates, silverware, etc).

The laundry room has a washer and a dryer, as well as a sink (in case anything has to be handwashed).

The indoor patio offers a nice environment to enjoy your breakfast or your morning coffee or simply to relax in the hammock while you read a book and listen to the birds (they like visiting our native fruit tree). The outside yard is also a nice place to enjoy, there is a table where you can enjoy your lunch or just enjoy being outside.

The house is located in a residential neighborhood in the suburb of Moravia. It is a nice area and very quiet. PLUS there is a nice little park right across from the house. It's a great location, within walking distance to get all your basic necessities (supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, restaurants, parks, etc).
